Summer Internship Program

The goal of the APALI Civic Leadership Program is to help community leaders and activists focus and optimize their individual pathway for civic leadership. After this program, they will pursue their civic leadership journey in a manner that is more visionary, socially-conscious, caring, connected, and more strategic, empowered, and effective.

What to expect: Collaborating in a team of instructors and mentor interns. Intensive training and enjoyable bonding events. Facilitating small-group discussions, activities, and project related to Asian American experience and social justice issues. Community-building, peer mentoring, classroom management, hosting speakers, and organizing special activities.

Who is the SIP program designed for? College students with a passion for Asian American civic engagement

What are the program outcomes? SIP provides a paid internship opportunity for six college students to gain first-hand experience in leadership and organizing.
