Evan Low is regarded as one of the brightest rising stars in politics. In 2010, he served as the City Mayor of Campbell at the age of 26, and was elected to the California State Assembly to represent Silicon Valley four years later. He became the youngest Asian American legislator to have been elected to the Assembly in state history.
Assemblymember Low has been named “Legislator of the Year” by organizations such as The Computing Technology Industry Association, California Faculty Association, Cellular Telecommunications Industry Association, and the California District Attorneys Association. He currently chairs the Assembly’s Business and Professions Committee and initiated the California Legislative Technology and Innovation Caucus in 2015.
Assemblymember Low, a South Bay native, began his involvement with APALI in 2002 when he joined the Youth Leadership Academy during his student days at De Anza College. He has since been a Civic Leadership Program alumnus, instructor, Public Official Fellow, and long-time APALI champion.
